I'll use a piece of masking tape to transfer
the holes to the faceplate; cutting them out
carefully with a blade.
Almost complete.
Then apply the tape to the
faceplate, and pencil in the holes.
The marks transferred.
Next, to find the center of the holes.
All the holes drilled and adjusted. There is a lot
of tolerance because of the decal that covers it.
Can you spot the problem?
Hint: count the LED holes and the LEDs.
It came from CMD with out the
LED, never was installed. I'll add one.
This is a tricky part. A countersink is needed
to recess the flathead bolts. The faceplate is
thin and a light touch is needed.
I've installed the bolts and filed the
heads flush with the surface of the faceplate.
Ready for paint. The CMD decal doesn't cover the entire faceplate, so before applying it, I'll spray it a satin black.
