Now on to the
3.5 inch drive, the 1563
Every connection and every
socket on this PCB is hand soldered.
With these connectors, it looks
like it was designed to be a
stand-alone drive.
The red wires attach to the
motherboard to connect the
serial bus.
The ROM is an EPROM. When I
get a chance, I'll crank up the
eprom burner/reader and get
an image.
The drive mech.
The carrier was modified
for the motherboard mods.
The drive carrier was designed
for the 5.25 1571 drive mech.
Lock washers were used as
spacers to align it.
